Trees

I just has to share a couple photos I took of a tree in the pasture next to Gringo. Was was out to the barn early Thursday morning and managed to capture some neat shots of this tree. Photos were taken with my cell photo's camera, so definitely not anything extraordinary... but I was pleased, nonetheless.

I'm actually thinking about getting the photo blown up. Or having my SIL's boyfriend do a painting of it. I've been trying to find a photo to put in either our living room or dining room and I'm having the hardest time finding what exactly what I want. I know I want some sort of nature scene, more photographic in nature versus a print. So, we'll see.

Angel

So today was another photop out at Rocking R Farm. It was another windy, cold day out and conditions were less then ideal. This was to be my fourth and final photop out at the barn... yet it was the only day were I managed to get half way decent photos. Angel, a young Thoroughbred gelding, was my only subject for the day, along with his owner Mary.

Here's a few of the photos I managed to capture of Angel.

I was so please with myself. I finally managed to figure out some more editing tools! Whohoo! Anways, here's the link to the rest of the album.

Rocking R Farm - Summer 2011 Benefit Show

This August, as in previous Augusts (is that even a word?), Rocking R Farm hosted a benefit show for Project Astride. To quote from their website :
Project ASTRIDE (Adapted Specialized Training & Recreation Involving Disabled Equestrians) is an all volunteer, nonprofit therapeutic riding program serving children and adults with developmental, physical or sensory challenges.
As a premier accredited NARHA (formerly North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) riding center, Project ASTRIDE has served individuals in St. Cloud and Central Minnesota since 1986.
Here's some of the better photos that were taken that day. It was a beautiful day for a horse show, that's for sure.

If you'd like to look at the complete album, it can be found here.

Great Prairie Jumper Show - July 2011

So this was the first time either myself or Laura, the rider I hitched a ride with, had been to this show. The show series itself looks to be promising, but the grounds weren't very big and parking was horrible. Regardless, it was a wonderful schooling opportunity for her horse and I was able to take a bunch of photos.
